Extension and conversion specialists

More space, without the cost of moving

PM Building and Joinery has been building extensions and conversions for homeowners across Newcastle and North Tyneside for over 20 years. We handle the whole project, from first ideas and planning through to the final finish, so you deal with one trusted team from start to end.

We take real pride in the quality of our work and how we look after our customers, which is why so many recommend us to friends and family.

What we do

Building work done properly, from plans to finish

Whether you need more living space, an extra bedroom or a brand-new kitchen, we plan, build and finish the whole project for you.

House extensions

Single and two-storey extensions for every type of home, designed to bring in light and give you the space your family needs.

Loft & garage conversions

Turn unused space into a bedroom, office or living area. A loft conversion typically costs around a third of moving to a bigger house and adds value to your home.

Kitchens & interiors

Kitchens, bathrooms, living and dining spaces designed around how you use them, with joinery, plastering and tiling all done in-house.

Planning & building regs

We know the planning and building regulations inside out, keep every job compliant and help you get the most from your budget.

We found P M Building and Joinery to be very professional from start to finish. They are punctual, reliable, hard working and polite. The standard of work was excellent and we are delighted with the end result. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Pete is one of the most trustworthy people I have ever met. Spending 30K plus on a job is intimidating at the best of times. Pete gave us a full weekly breakdown, refused to take money until the weekly jobs were up to spec, gave us an update after every day of work, and finished the job to an incredibly high standard.
